We had a great stay at Northwoods. The owners/managers were very friendly and seem to be doing a lot of work on the place, we stayed 2 years ago and they have made a lot of improvements since then. We were able to stay up late around a bonfire and no one was breathing down our neck about 11 o'clock absolute silent time. They allowed for us to have our dog and that was a huge plus! All in all it is going to be our "go-to place" for our Pine River excursions.

We went to northern Michigan for a last minute weekend getaway and had a hard time finding a place that allowed dogs. I found these cabins by calling around after a night at the Days Inn and wish I had found them sooner! We only one night there and it was perfect. The cabins are 15 minutes from Manistee in a quite town in Manistee National Forest. The owners, John and Joyce, are very friendly and work hard to keep the place clean and looking nice. We had one of the larger cabins and the price was very reasonable - they could actually probably raise their rates and it would still be a deal. I would definitely recommend!

Myself and John stayed couple of nights last week on an impromptu fishing trip. I found the proprietor to be courteous and downright homey. After we checked in, I never got to talk to you, but wanted to express my thanks for the vegetable soup you left for us. I also wanted to tell you how good it was and that we thoroughly enjoyed it after fishing in the cold rain all day. It reminded me of the soup that my mother used to make. I am trying to talk some friends to come out for some salmon fishing next year and if successful will be contacting you for lodging. Thank you again.
